USAF boot camp at Sampson AFB which was a converted Naval Training Center to accomodate extra inductees. Pic show us getting ready to be exposed to different types of war gas. That's me in the front far right. The webbing in the helmet was drawn tight, but it still sat low on my head like a turtle. Boot camp was from July to September 1954.
